About Our Chapter
The Mecklenburg Chapter was chartered on April 27, 1928 as a chapter of the State of North Carolina Society of the sons of the American Revolution. Our Mecklenburg Chapter Annual Dues are $20. NC State Annual Dues are $15 and National Annual Dues are $30.
We meet four (4) times each year at the Hilton Executive Park on Tyvola Road off I-77 in Charlotte. We always welcome men who are interested in joining the SAR for dinner and socializing beginning at 6:00pm each meeting time.

16 FEBRUARY, 6:00pm - Mecklenburg Chapter winter membership dinner and meeting! Our own Tony Zeiss will be appearing as "Captain Jack" and deliver his humorous and anecdotal presentation on the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence and the famous ride of Captain Jack! Also, the installation of our new Chapter officers.
10 MAY, 6:00PM - Join special guest actress Patty Proctor as she portrays a "Daughter of the Regiment," a woman who dressed in a man's Revolutionary War and Civil War uniform to fight alongside the men! RSVP available soon.
20 SEPTEMBER, 6:00PM - Mecklenburg Chapter membership dinner and meeting.

11 February The Raleigh Chapter, NCSSAR, invites you to attend the Washington Dinner beginning at 6:00pm at the North Raleigh Hilton. Enjoy a sumptuous Carolina dinner. The evening's guest speaker is Scott Miskimon, an author, historian and photojournalist, with his presentation, "Truly Savage: The Revolution without Washington." Cost is $45 per attendee. 24 March The Col. William Bratton Chapter, SCSAR, along with SAR, DAR, CAR, SR and other historical organizations, invite you to attend the grave markings of Col. 30-31 March NCSSAR Annual State Convention, Courtyard by Marriott, beachside in Carolina Beach, NC. The room rate is $119 per night.
